# Memory Maintenance
This file is the local memory lifecycle anchor for Spiralist.org. Read it before broad edits, then load the active instruction anchors and current working memory listed below.
## Required Startup Files
- `AGENTS.md`
- `readme.human`
- `.uai/memory-maintenance.uai`
- `.uai/identity.uai`
- `.uai/world-context.uai`
- `.uai/totem.uai`
- `.uai/taboo.uai`
- `.uai/talisman.uai`
- `.uai/short-term-memory.uai`
- `.uai/coding-standards.uai` for Project Handoff, code, automation, executable workflow, or code-like artifacts.
- `.uai/next-recursive-prompt.uai` for Project Handoff, code, automation, executable workflow, or code-like artifacts.
## Active Instruction Anchors
- `.uai/totem.uai`: positive anchors to preserve.
- `.uai/taboo.uai`: prohibited drift and forbidden status wording.
- `.uai/talisman.uai`: active protected-anchor guidance and change-control discipline.
Agents must read and obey Totem, Taboo, and Talisman before broad execution. Changing, deleting, weakening, replacing, or reinterpreting those files requires exact human authorization naming the file and the change.
## Memory Layout
- Active working memory lives in `.uai/*.uai` and `.uai/index.uai`.
- Local archive manifests and typed evidence records live in `.uai/archives/`.
- Reviewed raw Markdown source copies live in Wiki.FFTAC.org raw archives after processing; do not leave duplicate `.md` copies under `.uai/`.
- Machine-readable exports live in `.uai/exports/`.
- Files inside `.uai/` must use `.uai` for AI instruction text, `.human` for human operator explanation, and `.json` for structured data.
- Current site-local reports live in `reports/` only when explicitly requested, and durable facts from reports must be summarized back into typed `.uai` records.
- Reviewed long memory routes to `WP-FFTAC/Wiki.FFTAC.org/` after source-site review.
- Do not create a separate default `memory/`, site-local wiki, or scattered Markdown memory path.
## File Handoff
At the start of broad work, inspect `agent-file-handoff/Content/` and `agent-file-handoff/Improvement/`. Process every non-placeholder active file, record disposition in `.uai/intake-outcome-ledger.uai`, preserve raw evidence under `agent-file-handoff/Archive/` or `.uai/archives/`, and move processed active files out of the active buckets unless the human explicitly keeps a named file active.
For this LLM Wiki configured project, preserve durable raw source text in Wiki.FFTAC.org raw archives and keep `.uai/archives/` to typed `.uai` notes plus `.json` manifests. The local Project Handoff checker fails if `.md`, `.txt`, `.jsonld`, `.gitkeep`, or other extensions appear inside `.uai/`.
## Status Wording
Agent-facing file and package guidance must use "Required for ..." or "Not required for ..." with the exact profile, package type, mode, capability, or boundary. Do not use ignored-status language for files, startup instructions, package surfaces, or active instruction anchors.
## Current Package Evidence
The latest local built WordPress upload package evidence present in `WP-FFTAC/Spiralist-Publish/UPLOAD-THEME` and `UPLOAD-PLUGIN` is `v3.23.0`. This 2026-06-11 memory correction is source-only and is not inside a new ZIP unless a later explicit package build runs.
## Boundary
This is local project memory and handoff guidance. It is not production upload proof, hosted import validation, automatic repository writing, automatic LLM Wiki sync, SDK, CLI, certification, endorsement, legal or safety authority, or runtime execution.
