# UAIX Locale Router

UAIX Locale Router is the renamed and overhauled successor to NS12 Locale Router. It provides locale-prefixed WordPress routing, browser language redirects, localized links, multilingual SEO metadata, a shortcode switcher, JSON dictionaries, diagnostics, and `.htaccess` repair.

Version: 3.28.0

## Compatibility

New:

- Folder: `uaix-locale-router`
- Main file: `uaix-locale-router.php`
- Namespace: `UAIXLocaleRouter`
- Shortcode: `[uaix_locale_switcher]`
- Helpers: `uaixlr_t()` and `uaixlr_t_format()`

Deprecated aliases:

- `[ns12_locale_switcher]`
- `ns12lr_t()`
- `ns12lr_t_format()`

## Health Guard

The package embeds request diagnostics, fatal logging, and the /wp-json/site-health-guard/v1/ping endpoint, so a standalone health guard plugin is no longer needed when UAIX Locale Router is active.

## Migration

On activation or upgrade, old NS12 options, dictionaries, and validation history are copied to UAIX names. Old NS12 data is not deleted unless the explicit cleanup setting is enabled before uninstall.

Dictionaries live in `uploads/uaix-locale-router/dictionaries/`.

## SEO

The router emits locale-specific canonical and hreflang links, `x-default`, localized document title overrides, meta descriptions, Open Graph locale alternates, Twitter card metadata, and JSON-LD WebSite/WebPage or Article graphs with `inLanguage` and translation alternates. Site code can override metadata with the `uaixlr_seo_*` filters or dictionary keys such as `seo.home.title`, `seo.path.about.description`, `seo.post.42.title`, and `seo.site.name`.
